The Mission of L.I.G.H.T is to provide services in integrative modalities, weaving together a community that serves and enriches the lives of people with physical, mental, emotional and higher needs in positive environments conducive to supporting healthy mind, body and spirit. The L.I.G.H.T. will organize quality practitioners and educators of integrity and high standards. It will provide integrative services relevant to the needs of the individual and/or community.

Dr Richard P Petri, Jr., MD

Dr Richard Petri, Jr., MD is the Chief of the Department of Clinical Investigations at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, El Paso, Texas and former director of the Department of Defense’s first Center for Integrative Medicine and the WBAMC Interdisciplinary Pain Management Center (IPMC). He attended Georgetown University, completed residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has advanced training in Medical Acupuncture and Mind-Body Medicine. He served as a DoD reviewer of Dr Andrew Weil’s Program in Integrative Medicine and as the only DoD representative to the VA’s CAM Advisory Group. He has been invited to the White House to discuss Integrative Medicine, awarded several IM research grants and is working towards developing The Institute for Integrative Health and Healing, a DoD Center of Excellence. His work has been featured on Congress on the Border and the Pentagon Channel. He serves as an integrative medicine consultant to the Army Surgeon General’s Task Force on Pain Management and Trauma Brain Injury. He is currently the Chairman of the Integrative Medicine Task Force for NATO and the DA representative on the DoD’s Acupuncture Initiative. He received the 2010 AMSUS Richard Kern Lecture Award for Outstanding Contribution to Federal Healthcare.
Lynn Provenzano has facilitated personal and professional development for over 30 years in corporate, community, and non-profit groups, specializing in motivation, business and interpersonal skills, and energy work. She is an MCKS Associate Certified Pranic Healer, which includes Pranic Psychotherapy, and is a licensed MCKS Pranic Healing instructor. Currently, she teaches meditation and alternative energy work in the Osher Life Long Learning program at the University of Texas El Paso as well as strategic business and human resource courses in the Vista College Accelerated Business Programs. Her community involvement reaches further into the healing and educational aspects of the Arts as President of the Board of Directors for the El Paso Society for Musicians of the Future.
